Obituary for Thomas L. Darby Sr.

Thomas L. Darby Sr. 88, of Long Branch passed away on Tuesday, July 19th. He was born and raised in Long Branch.

Thomas joined the U.S. Army where he became a Sergeant. He and his family lived throughout the world during his service before settling in Tinton Falls. He had an affinity for science, interest in genealogy and an avid follower of the stock market. He will be dearly missed.

He is predeceased by his parents, Hughes and Mae Darby.

Surviving are his wife, Kiku Darby; his children, June Darby, Tinton Falls, Ruth Eliason and her husband Nils, Maine, Thomas L. Darby, Long Branch, May Sikora and her husband John, South Carolina, Carol Robinson and her husband Stephen, Nebraska, Elizabeth Darby, California, and David and his wife Linda, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Emilie, Andrew, Lauren, Tracey, Taylor, Kelsey, Colin, Zachary, Darby and Russell; and his great grandchildren, Calvin and Kayla.

Funeral Services will be Friday August 5th, 10:30 AM at the Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown, NJ. You may make contributions in lieu of flowers to the VFW Foundation 406 W. 34th St. Suite 920 Kansas City, MO 64111.
